We have come back to school and straight back into our unit on inventions. This included writing a biography , first about our friends and then about a famous inventor. Please check Seesaw for our friend biographies.
We have also been thinking about ways to innovate and solve problems with simple inventions. This work will continue next week.
We are almost at the end of ‘The Invention of Hugo Cabret’, a fantastic story that has provoked many conversations, ideas, questions and connections. We will be watching the movie version next week so please look out for a letter on Sunday.
On April 23rd, the library will be hosting a book trade. Next week, students can bring in unwanted books and exchange them for a ticket. Then on the 23rd, they can use their tickets to get new (to them) books. This is a perfect provocation for our new unit on trade.
