We have started our new unit, How We Express Ourselves! To kick things off, students shared stories from their winter break, sparking excitement and connection in our classroom. We’ve also introduced a special friend—Flat Teddy—who goes home with a different student for a few days of adventure. When Flat Teddy returns, the student shares their experience with the class, helping to build communication skills, a sense of responsibility, and the confidence to be a risk-taker. In literacy, students are developing their creative writing by crafting their own stories and focusing, while in math, they are deepening their understanding of place value.
