This week, we launched an intriguing new unit under the theme How the World Works, centered on the idea that The Earth goes through constant change. We started by taking a nature walk, where students engaged directly with the natural environment, and examined photos of various landscapes that they brought in, fostering discussions about Earth’s diverse and dynamic surfaces. In literacy, we continued our centers and introduced writing in journals, focusing on the essential components of a sentence, which helped enhance their writing skills. Meanwhile, in math, we deepened our understanding of addition through the use of number lines, practicing precision and step-by-step problem solving. It’s been a week full of discovery and practical learning, deepening our appreciation for the ever-changing world we live in.
