A few weeks ago we thought about how we use numbers and all the skills we learn to work with numbers effectively.
This week, we continued with a range of activities that use numbers practically- counting objects, doing the date through sorting, ordering, naming, sequencing to computation and problem solving. We are still working on number formation and recognising names of numbers too.
We work individually or in groups and everyone can go at their own pace. Several activities are available around the room and some are focused, taught lessons. many students independently select different activities on a daily basis and often collaborate to complete a task quickly.
We had a lot of fun trying to count to 20 as a group but did this as a game. It was even harder to go backwards! Find fun ways at home to do this, avoid rote repetition and make learning more enjoyable!
Finally, we just had some rain and the students did SO well online and cheered me up with their enthusiasm, chat and good meeting skills.
Have a sunny weekend everyone!
