Dear KG2 Families,
We are excited to share the highlights of this week’s learning journey with you. It has been an enriching and joyful experience for our young learners, particularly as they engaged in their first-ever online lessons. We extend our heartfelt thanks to you, our supportive parents, for your flexibility and active participation, which contributed to the success of this new format.
During our online Math activities, the children practiced counting from 1 to 50 songs through fun, hands-on exercises. They demonstrated strong thinking skills as they explored numbers, patterns, and relationships in creative and engaging ways, making connections that deepened their understanding.
For Phonics, we introduced the first group of Jolly Phonics sounds (s, a, t, p, i, n). The children enjoyed singing the sound songs, which helped them develop their communication skills by linking letters and sounds.
As part of our ongoing Unit of Inquiry, Who We Are, We focused on what makes each child unique. It was heartwarming to hear them reflect on their individual strengths and characteristics, and they were encouraged to ask similar questions at home. We will continue building on this as they develop self-awareness and a deeper understanding of themselves and their connections with others.
We’ll keep it short, but we’re thrilled to share some photos from this week’s learning moments.
We look forward to welcoming our learners back in person next week. Until then, we wish you a wonderful and restful weekend.
Warm regards,
Ms.AlJabri & Ms.Maryam
