We had some fun making letters with our bodies this week! We try to do many different and interesting activities to learn our sounds. It was quite difficult and we had to work with each other so we learnt to collaborate carefully. Some letters were harder than others….we will try this again as we enjoyed it. Good luck trying to guess the letters!

At school, we try to use numbers in a practical way to learn the skill of counting but also apply that skill in different ways, in the real world. I asked Grade 1A to tell me how we use numbers every day. Each student drew and wrote their ideas and when we SHARED our ideas we found we had many ways – from counting to ordering to dates and the timetable. Great thinking, 1A.

We continue to try and do activities together and promote helping our friends if we have learnt a skill or can do something. Students are beginning to work with different friends and cooperate which is lovely to see.

Happy weekend everyone!
