Dear KG2 Families,

Even though it’s a short week, it’s been packed with fun and engaging activities for the children! First, I’d like to thank all the families who interact with us through the emails we send—it truly helps strengthen our connection.

This week in our “Who We Are” unit, we explored the concept of being balanced. We started by listening to the children’s thoughts on what makes a good choice versus a bad choice. They made some wonderful points! We then used a series of pictures to help them classify these choices and discuss why they made certain decisions. It was heartwarming to see our young learners embrace this understanding and apply it when interacting with their peers.

In literacy, the children continued practicing name recognition by forming their names with playdough and letter cards. Building their names by putting letters together is an important step in their learning. We also introduced the letter ‘A’ and its sound, which they learned through a fun apple collage activity.

In numeracy, we worked on writing the number 3 with the phrase, “Around the tree, around the tree, that’s how I make number 3.” We also introduced dice, and the children matched the number of dots with the corresponding numeral.

Finally, don’t forget to click on the link to view some lovely pictures from this week!

Wishing you a long and joyful weekend with your families!

Warm regards,
