Dear KG 2 families,

We are delighted to share updates on our second week of term with you. Our young learners are thriving and adapting smoothly to the routines of the longer school day, demonstrating a commendable openness to the changes around them.

In our “We Are Who” unit this week, the focus was on cultivating healthy habits that contribute to a good life. The children engaged in discussions about the importance of habits like handwashing, recognizing that germs are omnipresent and emphasizing the need for constant handwashing. Additionally, we explored the significance of brushing teeth, with the children gaining insights into the potential consequences if this habit is neglected. It was heartening to witness the children distinguishing between foods that promote dental health and those that do not, along with discussions on reducing screen time and the importance of staying hydrated by drinking water regularly.

In the realm of mathematics, our exploration of numbers continues. The students are actively practicing writing numbers and grasping the meanings associated with each numeral. We’ve also begun introducing the concept of adding the number 5 to other numbers.

Turning to language development, the letter U took center stage this week. The children not only learned about the letter but also engaged creatively by designing umbrella-shaped artwork associated with this letter.

Our young learners are showing tremendous enthusiasm and responsiveness to the diverse topics presented to them. We are thrilled to witness their growth and engagement in the learning process. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out. We look forward to continued progress and success throughout the term. Don’t miss out—click on the Week 18 to see the pics!

We wish you a nice and restful long weekend.

Warm regards,
