Week 11
It’s been another enjoyable and productive week for all of us. First and foremost, we would like to express our gratitude to all the parents who attended the 3 way conference with their children. Your presence brought us joy, and we are excited about the prospect of further collaboration.
In our learning room, we’ve been focusing on the concept of length and related terms like “tall, medium, and short” this week. It’s been truly gratifying to see our young learners incorporating what they’ve learned in class into their home environments. Once again, thank you for sharing the pictures of your children engaged in learning at home and encouraging them to apply their newfound knowledge from school.
Also this week, we centered our attention on the sound of the letter “d.” The children have been distinguishing this letter from a group of letters, identifying words that start with the “d” sound, and recognizing its position at the beginning of words. Additionally, the children have been practicing incorporating the word “I, am” into sentences and writing “I am a star.”
In our unit, “Who Are We,” we all had a great time creating a model of the “Mat Man” and listening to the accompanying song. This activity aims to enable the children to depict a human figure in a simple manner and identify the various parts of the human body.
We hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead.
