WEEK 29

Dear Parents and Guardians of KG1,

For our parents who are celebrating Eid this weekend – Eid Mubarak! May this blessed occasion bring you joy, peace, and prosperity. Remember to celebrate with your loved ones, share kindness with those around you, and cherish the blessings that come your way. May you have a happy and fulfilling Eid filled with love, laughter, and good memories to cherish for a lifetime.

This week in KG was filled with activities to develop our fine and gross motor skills.  We continued attempting to write our names this week, focusing on the correct way to hold a marker/pencil crayon/crayon and also focusing on forming the letters in our names correctly.  This is something which we will continue practicing in class.

We continued practicing our numeral identification and being able to represent numbers individually in Maths.  We are also working on being able to count out a certain number of objects to correctly represent the number being shown. It is important that students practice this at home too e.g. counting everyday objects such as fruit or vegetables when shopping or counting cars on the way to school.

This week, we were given a reminder to:

  • utilize English vocabulary while conversing with one another
  • engage in sharing and taking turns.
  • act with principles and respect towards others, which is highly significant.
  • demonstrate kindness and compassion towards our peers, something that should be a daily practice.
  • ensure that everyone is included in our games.
  • enhance our listening abilities by following the instructions provided in class and at home.
