Dear KG2 Families,
Our little learners are very eager to share their learning with you and are working really hard to get ready for our assembly which will take place on Thursday, the 20th of October. Please come and join us to celebrate their learning with them.
This week, in Mathematics, our focus was on manipulatives(namely unifix cubes) and how we use them to solve given problems. The children first explored these cubes, then they were asked to represent given numbers using them.
We have also started to unpack the concept of “goal setting”. This is a very important and somehow complicated concept. We frontloaded our learning with thinking routines in order for children to attain this concept. Next week we will continue to support their learning through hands-on activities and weekly self reflections. Our goal is to promote this goal in the classroom so the children would be able to set some goals for themselves before our Three Way Conferences which will take place in November.

Wishing you a lovely weekend.
Warm regards,
Mrs Nicholson and Ms Haifa
