Grade 2 this week talked about why gardens are important and what they are used for. Ideas should as growing food, fruits and vegetables were shared. Also the students suggested that gardens are important for insects, should a bees, butterflies and dragonflies. We then labeled areas and structures that can be found in a raised bed garden. Finally, the 2nd Grader visited the the garden at the school farm to see what this garden looks like and to think about how we can help make it better.
