As you all know we started this week in the “Mazoon” for an introduction of this new school year. I was super excited and happy to see my students. For some of them it was a big step and it came with a few tears, which is understandable.As the day passed I saw them more comfortable. In the afternoon they went home with their “first day certificate” and a big smile.
This first week we took the time to get to know each other and to find our place in the new learning environment. We learned that our names have letters and that letters make a sound. We also built our names and counted the letters.The next step was putting all our names in a name graph. So together we discovered who has a long name, and who has a short name. Of course there was time to explore our “Math” and “Reading” stations.
