This week the students have been celebrating The Sultanate of Oman and it’s wonderful culture, history, natural beauty and its amazing people. On Sunday the children had a go at making their own clay pots. They learned that along time ago people had to have these skills to store water and food. On Monday they painted pots made locally and they will decorate them with jewels. On Tuesday they made necklaces in a traditional style and decorated them with jewels and threading beads. On Wednesday the students chose some pictures from an Omani heritage book to Colour. Ms Buthaina and Ms Kamla explained to the children about the pictures and their heritage. Finally the children enjoyed their swimming and painting insects for their unit of inquiry.
