Students have just completed their final summative tasks for their English and Individuals and Societies units. In English; after looking at the ideas of perspective, bias and fake news, they created captions for photos that outlined what was shown and what could be deduced. In Individuals and Societies students created their own infographic based upon population statistics, charts and graphs.
Students are just about to start their new units. In English they will be studying ‘Red Scarf Girl’ by Ji Li Liang. This will be used as a basis as an investigation into how we make judgements and take actions based on ethics and morality. In Individuals and Societies we will be studying revolutions, paying particular attention to causes, course and consequences. We will be paying particular attention to the Industrial, Transport and Agricultural revolutions as well as investigating a political revolution.
