During the recent assessment, Grade 7 students saw the return of a sequence of numbers that appeared at the beginning of the year… The Fibonacci numbers. In the assessment, students were asked to consider the number of ways that a person could climb a set of stairs if they are only allowed to take one or two steps at a time, in any combination.

The original pattern was discovered when Fibonacci was studying the breaking of rabbits. See if you can identify the next number in the list. 1,1,2,3,5,8. If not, see if you child can tell you the story.
