This week our students demonstrated an interest in construction. They researched and experimented with a variety of materials to create some wonderful pieces of work. We further researched beautiful buildings around the world which the children were impressed with. This inspired them to start creating their own buildings in Art using their thinking skills to plan, giving their perspectives regarding colour, size, shape and making connections between the buildings they researched and the ones they are creating. Everyone has enjoyed participating in this project.

The students have also been branching out and have created an ice cream shop in the classroom. They have created menus and are starting to make an office for the business side of the operation. There has been lots of new language when discussing business on the phone and lots of writing menus and letters. We are nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs and they are enjoying the challenges presented to them.
