The students have had a wonderful week learning how to express themselves through many different mediums. In Art they continued with their research of underwater creatures and environments and recreating this using different materials and techniques. They have taken an interest in construction so we researched different types of modern buildings around the world. They then got really creative making their own constructions using a variety of materials.
Problem solving has interested the students this week and they have been excited sharing puzzles together. This collaboration is bringing them together and they are learning how to share and work together to achieve a common goal. In literacy they have been decorating their names in glitter and they are learning new language through our UOI.
In Steam the students have been inquiring into water and how it turns from a solid to a liquid. they had lots of fun digging and chiseling the toys out of the ice blocks and talking about how it feels to the touch. There has been keen interest in our loose parts play and the students are becoming Risk Takers being creative with the resources.
Finally the students have been learning about using words to express their feelings. In Art they decided to make happy faces to show how happy they are in class.
