It was a real pleasure to meet the Grade 12 DP History class this week. As a small class, I was able to spend a considerable amount of time getting to know the students. It was great to begin to get a feel for the progress they made in Grade 11 and to listen to their goals and aims for this school year. We ended the week with one-on-one check-ins regarding the Internal Assessment. It is clear that students have been hard at work formulating well-crafted research questions and collecting meaningful historical sources of information. I look forward to continuing these conversations in the days and weeks to come. Students should be encouraged to submit a draft of their completed IA as soon as possible in order to receive and apply feedback as they finish their historical investigations.
