It has been a fun last few weeks during the primary Information Literacy classes as we finished up our group novel reads.
Upper grades really enjoyed finishing up the first Skeleton Creek mystery book with it’s jump scare videos! Old Joe Bush scared us a few times. We even had time to get a sneak peek into book two, Ghost in the Machine by Patrick Carmen.
Grade 3 finished Chocolate Fever by Robert Kimmel Smith and then laughed our way through “The Monster that Stole my Underwear” by Kate Cleary.
Grade 2 learned how to search for clues in the first A to Z mystery, “The Absent Author” by Ron Roy. Boy did this have a surprise ending!
My wish for these amazing students is that they keep reading all summer. Read funny books, scary books, mysterious books, serious books- ALL KINDS OF BOOKS- and be ready to read more in August with me! We will have the library ready to continue our literacy journey together! Have a lovely, wonderful, relaxing summer!
