Today we took trigonometry outside. We measured the height of the flagpole of the school using a home-made clinometer, a metre ruler, and our trigonometrical knowledge. When we measured it and did the calculations, we got 11m. Clarissa and James estimated the height of the pole to be 10.5m. They were very close. Eckhart had great practical ideas for how to do this problem and led the finding of the solution.
