This week we got creative in Grade 1 and turned our rocks into Pets. We thought about where our pets came from, what they liked to eat and what they liked to do. We wrote stories about our rocks adventures.
We were also lucky enough to be able to go and watch a play in the Mazoon this week it was great fun.
In maths we were predicting and weighing different objects with balance scales. We used unfix cubes as our unit of measure.
We began exploring where fossils are found and have been looking at the layers in the sedimentary rock. we discovered that fossils form in the layers of sediment. Rocks are made from minerals and this week we acted as detectives to see if we could identify the minerals in different rocks.
