The Treaty of Versailles, after the First World War, was a great meeting of diplomats who were tasked with figuring out who started the war, and how to punish them. This week, the G9 class simulated the Paris Peace Conference. Our brave delegation from Germany had to listen to the grievances of their classmates (France, Great Britain, Italy and the USA) while also bravely stating their opinion and standing firm. Students learned how, sometimes, a harsh peace settlement after a major war becomes the catalyst for the next world conflict, WWII.
