Grades K3-grades 5 performed some of the social dances they had been learning in the previous two months. Each class had been assigned a popular dance that may have started in one country, but had jumped borders and was popular internationally, either in recent years or in previous decades. The dances were: K3 – the Mexican Hat Dance, Grade 1 – the Electric Slide, Grade 2 – the Hustle, Grade 3 – Agadoo, Grade 4 – Jai Ho, and Grade 5 – Chu chu Ua. In coming weeks note: there is a Primary Musical where children can “strut their stuff” and in January, expect another small performance of more Social Dances, as well as a secondary school dance performance.
