Grade 7 researched smoking and what’s inside cigarettes and cigarette smoke. Their research led to the design and construction of a dry distillation apparatus in glass. The toxic substances from one cigarette were caught in a filter for examination. The students concluded that each cigarette adds up to the effect, and if you smoke a packet a day, you will get 730 times more toxic substances in a year.
