Last week the entire school put our collective creativity together under the guidance of Mr. Hampton to transform the Sports Hall into a wacky garden inhabited by rather large insects. We were divided into four teams–Nerds, Clowns, Princesses, and Scary–and tasked with creating a giant garden landscape that fit our theme. At the same time, students were working to build a giant bug, such as a bee or playing mantis, from wood and then painting the creature.
Students all the way from K1 through grade 10 took part in the fun day. Special thanks to Mr. Hampton for making Art Day happen. Also, thanks to Mr. Akerstrom and Mr. Carberry in particular and the whole teaching staff generally for a great day. Check out Mr. Wolfe and Mr. Kearney’s pictures below in the slideshow.
