K1 and K2 have been exploring stories for their second unit of inquiry and they have used many different ways to express themselves. In Music they told stories through songs using instruments to add rhythm and texture. In Technology they created their own plays on the I Pad using their imaginations to bring the characters to life. Outside they used drama to go on Safari searching the school grounds for their favourite jungle animals. In Arts and Crafts the children created a character called Rectangle the Robot, they made up some fabulous adventures for him to participate in.
Each child has created a book using pictures to tell their own personal stories about their families, holidays, school and their dreams. It has encouraged them to be creative and use their imaginations and language skills in some extraordinary ways.
