Dear Parents,
What a fun way to bring Term 1 to a close! This week, reflection became very visible. In CALP, students quite literally mapped their learning across the tables, making connections between Maths, Languages, Humanities, Sciences, the Arts, and everything in between. In French, our Grade 9s stepped back from their travel unit and Criterion D work to look at what they had actually learnt, how the different pieces connected, and how far they had come. The photos say it better than I could: when we give students time to stop, look back, and connect the dots, learning stops feeling like a collection of separate subjects and starts becoming something much bigger.
And with that… we made it to the end of Term 1! There has been plenty of thinking, questioning, practising, assessing, reflecting, trying again, and, thankfully, quite a lot of laughter too. Now comes another important part of learning: rest. Time to sleep, play, travel, connect with people, do absolutely nothing for a while, and let those busy brains quietly make sense of everything we have thrown at them over the past weeks.
Have a wonderful, well-deserved holiday, everyone.
Rest, relax, enjoy yourselves, and come back ready for whatever Term 2 has waiting for us!
Warm wishes et à très bientôt!
Miss J
