I can’t believe we are at the end of term 1 already. Time flies when you are having fun!
We have been concentrating on Criterion D: Writing for 2 weeks now. The students have been reflecting on how writers engage their audience- specifically, how vocabulary choice and sentence structure can help achieve this. They then participated in a writing workshop and gallery walk, offering feedback to their peers on their improved paragraphs.
Honestly, the students keep really impressing me with their willingness to learn, take risks and succeed!
In other news, the Secondary Student Council held their first bake sale for World Mental Health Day. It was a roaring success carried out completely independently of me. I just sat and ate cakes!
