We made it! Our first 2 months of school finish today and we do our Class Assembly to present all the different countries and celebrate all the different countries our Grade 2 students come from

This is a wonderful opportunity for children to develop their speaking and presenting skills. They need to organise their group, practise their words, use a microphone and learn to go on and off stage, carefully and correctly. It takes many times to practise and we found the children were getting better at listening and waiting quietly for their turn- which is also a challenge when we have all seen the same show 5 times!

Students have continued their usual lessons and managed to have time to think about their wellbeing as it is Mental Health week. We learnt about a tradition from another culture where children use small worry dolls- little figures that children can tell their worries to, place under their pillow and then sleep. We agreed that having someone to talk to is always good but enjoyed being creative in making our special friends!

Wishing all students and their families a wonderful holiday!
