🌟 KG2 Broadcaster – Wrapping Up Our First Unit!
As we come to the end of our first Who We Are unit, “As our bodies and brains grow, we learn new things,” we have spent the past few weeks discovering more about ourselves, how our bodies work, how our brains help us learn, and how our everyday choices help keep us healthy.
The children have explored their body parts and skeletons, learned about healthy habits, and discovered that learning new things helps our brains grow. We have also reflected on what makes each of us unique and how we can take care of bodies. It has been wonderful to see the children developing their understanding and making connections to their own lives. 🌱🧠
👀 Coming Up After the Holiday: Our New Unit!
When we return from the holiday, we will begin an exciting new unit of inquiry!
Central Idea: Our senses help us explore and understand the world around us.
We will begin by exploring our five senses and discovering how they help us investigate and make sense of the world. The children will have opportunities to use their senses to observe, explore, ask questions and share their discoveries.
We will also explore how scientists use their senses to ask questions, make observations and draw conclusions. Through hands-on investigations, the children will begin to think like little scientists as they explore the world around them! 🔍👂👀👃👅✋
We are excited to begin this new learning journey and see where the children’s curiosity takes us!
Wishing all our KG2 families a wonderful, restful and enjoyable holiday. We look forward to welcoming everyone back, refreshed and ready for another exciting unit of learning! 💛🌈
