KG2 – Looking Ahead to Week 6 🌟
Dear Parents,
As we finish another busy week, here is a little look at what we will be exploring next week.
🧠 Who We Are – Our Bodies and Brains
We will continue exploring our Central Idea:
“As our bodies and brains grow, we learn and do new things.”
The children will continue thinking about how we can take responsibility for our bodies and brains through healthy choices, learning, movement, rest and caring for ourselves and others.
🔤 Phonics
We will continue reviewing the sounds we have learned so far: s, a, t, p, i, and practise recognising the letters and hearing their sounds in words.
🔢 Maths
We will continue working with:
- Counting to 20
- One more and one less
- Heavy and light
- Full and empty
🎨 Learning through play and choice
Children will continue making choices during our learning and play time, using puzzles, games, blocks and creative materials. We will also continue encouraging children to tidy and care for our classroom after choice time.
💛 At home:
You can encourage your child to talk about one healthy choice they made during the day. Perhaps they drank water, ate a healthy food, exercised, washed their hands, helped someone or remembered to rest.
