Dear Secondary families,
As we reach the end of another academic year, it is a great opportunity to reflect on what has been a very successful year for ABIS. There have been so many highlights along the way, from learning in the classroom and student achievements to performances, trips, competitions, celebrations and community events. Most importantly, we have continued to see our students grow in confidence, knowledge and character.
Today was a wonderful way to bring the year to a close with the ABIS Games. A huge thank you to Miss J, all of the staff, and the students who have worked so hard over the past few days to plan, organise and deliver such a fantastic event. It was wonderful to see our students showcasing their learning, creativity and teamwork across such a wide range of subjects. Thank you also to the parents who were able to join us and share the experience. Your support and encouragement are always greatly appreciated.
It was also a pleasure to come together for our final assembly of the year and reflect on the many experiences, achievements and memories that have shaped the past ten months. The assembly provided a snapshot of the incredible opportunities that our students have enjoyed across both the Primary and Secondary Schools and reminded us just how much has been accomplished together as a community.
As we close the year, we also say farewell to a number of students and staff members who will be moving on to new opportunities. To our departing students and families, thank you for being part of the ABIS community. We wish you every success and happiness in your new schools, countries and adventures ahead. We hope you leave with many positive memories and friendships that will stay with you for years to come.
To those members of staff who are leaving us, thank you for your contribution to ABIS and for the positive impact you have had on our students and community. We wish you every success and happiness in the next stage of your journey.
Finally, I would like to thank all of our students, staff and parents for their support throughout the year. The partnership between home and school plays such an important role in the success of our community, and we are grateful for everything you do.
Like many of you, I am now looking forward to spending some quality time with family over the summer. For me, that means travelling back to the UK and enjoying the opportunity to have both of our boys home from university at the same time. I know many of our families will also be looking forward to spending time together, travelling, relaxing and creating special memories over the coming weeks.
I wish all of our families a restful, enjoyable and well-deserved summer break. Thank you once again for your support throughout the year. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in August for another exciting year at ABIS.
