This week students have been working double time! They are doing their lessons and learning but having to do writing, reading and maths assessments too! We have managed to continue with our time books which are the story of our school day. This includes o’clock and half past times, with written work and a drawing. We have also been using a different visual planner- a story snake- to try and invent stories for sharing and telling to our class. The students chose to work independently or with a friend and drew or wrote notes to help them plan a story with a beginning, characters, a setting, a middle- which might involve a problem of some sort and explaining what happens. Finally, there should be the solution to the problem as an ending. They worked well and some got to tell their stories to friends who said why they liked the story. Students were being risk-takers and communicators which helps them to experience and understand our IB Learner Profile.

Happy Weekend everyone!
