Dear Parents,
We are currently in a vital phase of finalizing and polishing the repertoire for our Summer Concert. Our students are working incredibly hard, moving beyond the initial learning of notes to focus on the fine details of their performance. This dedication is essential to ensuring we accomplish a high-quality and memorable experience for our community on the concert night.
Weekly Music Progress:
- Grade 7: Criterion C Options – This week, Grade 7 students were given the creative choice to either compose a song using technology or perform for their Criterion C assessment. It has been inspiring to see students select the pathway that best aligns with their artistic strengths and interests.
- Grade 8: Technical Proficiency – I am pleased to report that the Grade 8 students are achieving a high level of technical proficiency. Their performance of their chosen songs is becoming remarkably fluid and precise as they focus on the nuances of their craft.
- Grade 9: Finalizing Composition & Performance – Performance standards are peaking in Grade 9. Students are currently in the process of finalizing both the composition and the performance aspects of their songs, blending creative arrangement with technical polish.
- Grade 10: Back and Energized – It is a pleasure to welcome our Grade 10 students back to the music room! Having completed their e-assessments, they are returning with renewed energy and are fully committed to presenting a fantastic performance for our Summer Concert.
Thank you for your continued support of our music program and for encouraging your children during this busy preparation period.
