We spent some time at the beginning of the week to think about how we were risk-takers by doing our assembly last week. A risk-taker is actually being brave or courageous and doing something new or doing something that might scare us. We might make a mistake doing something new but we try anyway. All children learning a new language are being risk-takers every day as they try to communicate in front of others, learn new pronunciation and try to answer questions in class. Students told me how they felt and what they did in assembly that shows they are being brave risk-takers! Great reflection and new learning about the IB Learner Profile.
We have been reading stories from different cultures and noticing similarities and differences. We enjoyed hearing stories being told to us by two Grade 6 students who visited us agin this week, We continue to write why we like stories and attempt our own story writing. Our wonderful Library and Librarians provide us with books and support too – please do read and enjoy the weekly Library book that your child brings home!
Happy Weekend.
