Grade 1C have continued their unit about sharing stories so we have done just that- shared stories! I have been re-reading stories from this year that were popular and we consider what makes them a good story. We also had the Book Fair this week so several students enjoyed browsing the titles on offer and selecting some new books to read and share at home.

Students enjoyed listening to The Tiger That Came to Tea and then did a collaborative sequencing activity which was quite tricky. They worked well together demonstrating improved cooperation and listening skills. All groups managed to sequence the story in the correct order and re-told to each other as they did this.

We are spending as many minutes as possible learning about time and doing different activities to reinforce and practice this quite difficult concept. We are matching clocks to times both analogue and digital, writing times, playing games and telling the time on our class clock as much as possible- especially o’clock and half past! Students still enjoy taking photos of each other to record their work which is very fortunate as I then have something to share with you all!

Happy weekend!
