Yesterday marked the start of our preparation for the Mock Exams starting on May 15. The mocks will include a paper 1, which is the same for SL and HL. It focuses on a business scenario where students are given a briefing for which they use to prepare to analyse the business’s situation and make recommendations.
Paper 2 has different exams for SL and HL. This exam consists of two parts and will be focused on Human Resource Management and Finance and Account. Section A consists of 4 question with 3 or 4 parts where students use stimulus provide to work through finance related questions, and will be tested on their understanding and application of finance formula and concepts. Section B requires students to choose one of two questions, where again a stimulus scenario will be used to guide students through a number of integrated questions related to finance and human resource management.
Our first two revision sessions have focused on core terminology and concepts and next week we will be honing in on problem solving scenarios using theories, tools and formula.
