A pleasant final week of the term. Whilst our grade level numbers have been down, there has still been lots of energy and effort from those attending students.

Highlights of the Week

  • Managing to revising, edit and publish our explanation texts
  • Completing our mini unit of angles and protractors
  • Creating vortex cannons (and playing with personification)

Please see some images from our vortex cannon fun below…

After the holidays we will be…

  • Starting a new mathematical unit on measurement, where our initial focus will be on calculating the perimeter, area and volume
  • Looking at Newton’s law of conservation via a Pendulum swinging experiment that will raise the big idea of dissipation
  • Studying an explanation text about how force is created on a Vortex Cannon

We wish you all a happy / safe holiday and Eid Mubarak (to those celebrating). We look forward to seeing all the students back full of energy on Sunday 29th March.
