This week, we wrapped up our Unit of Inquiry, How the World Works, by completing our student reflections. We thought carefully about what we learned and shared our ideas using pictures and words. In phonics, we explored magic e sounds, focusing on long vowel a and i. For maths, we practiced place value by building numbers with tens and ones. We compared numbers and explained which numbers were greater or smaller. In Music, we used drum sticks to make music by tapping different rhythms and keeping a steady beat. We also practiced for our Grade 1 Assembly on Thursday, working on confident voices and remembering our parts. To end the week, we presented our learning from the unit and showed what we know!
