This week in Grade 1, we practiced using kind words and role-played respectful talk with friends. We also took action on making healthy lifestyle choices: thinking about balanced snacks, movement, and daily routines. In math, we worked on numbers that come before, after, and in between, and explored ordinal numbers through The Very Hungry Caterpillar, which we connected to sequencing and retelling in literacy. Students began reflecting on our unit and setting personal goals they’ll share at the three-way conference. We also wore pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness and joined the school bake sale, celebrating community while learning about giving and helping others.
