Another busy week has wrapped up for Grade 7! We celebrated “R U OK? Day” on Friday, where students wore yellow, and our Secondary Student Council held a bake sale. The funds raised will go toward Student Council events for all students throughout the year.

We’re looking for Grade 7 students to join the Student Council. It’s a great way for them to complete a meaningful Service As Action activity for Semester 2 while benefiting the entire school community. If you think your child might be interested, please encourage them to get involved.

The week ended with our first House competition of the year. You can find photos HERE.

A few important reminders for Advisory sessions for next week and the following weeks:

  • Sunday: Secondary students have announcements in Mazoon at 8:00 a.m.
  • Monday: Students will use this time to add evidence and reflections to their Service As Action portfolios.
  • Tuesday: We’ll have DEAR time (Drop Everything And Read). Unfortunately, only two students brought a book this week. Please remind your child to bring a book to read. We’ve awarded House points to Ghazi Al Jabri and Mohammed Al Balushi for their excellent self-management skills in remembering their books!
  • Wednesday: Time for grade specific content, goal setting reflections, or House Competition planning.
  • Friday: PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic education)

We’ve seen a great improvement in students arriving on time, and we thank you for your support with this.

Wishing you all a relaxing weekend.

Best wishes,
The G7 Advisory Team
