This week in our Unit of Inquiry, students continued sharing stories through wordless books, showing they are great risk-takers and communicators as they used their own words and creativity to bring the stories to life. In Literacy, students have been busy publishing their writing pieces and learning to differentiate between the hard and soft sounds of “c” and “g.” In Math, we explored addition with two-digit numbers, focusing on questions that do not require regrouping.

We also celebrated Book Week! Students had a wonderful time participating in special activities, including being paired up with reading buddies from another class and joining in the fun of a “Find Waldo” classroom hunt. It was a joyful celebration of books, stories, and the love of reading.

Students are also getting excited for the upcoming Student-Led Conferences—they can’t wait to share all the hard work and progress they’ve made over the past few months!

Looking ahead to next week, we are inviting parent volunteers to come in and read a story in their mother tongue. If you are interested, please let us know—we’d love to celebrate the many languages and cultures in our classroom!
