Grade 11 Chemistry students are working hard to prepare for their upcoming Organic Chemistry tests next week on Monday 24th and Wednesday 26th, perhaps one of the most intense and detailed units in the curriculum! A broad range of core concepts, including homologous series, functional groups, nomenclature, reactions, stereoisomers, and reaction mechanisms, comprise this unit. Despite its complexity, the students have been impressive in their dedication and persistence in mastering them. For the test, they will be sitting for both Paper 1 (multiple choice) and Paper 2 (structured and extended response), so it’s important to review thoroughly and practice applying these concepts.
