Dear Secondary Families,

It has been lovely to welcome back all of our students and staff this week. One of the many reasons that I love working in an International School, is being able to share so many amazing stories and experiences from around the world. My family travelled back to the UK to spend time with our eldest son Olly who is studying at University . It was also great to catch up with the rest of our family and friends. We also travelled to Iceland to celebrate the New Year. We got to see the Northern Lights, Whales, amazing scenery and even a day of Snow Boarding! After experiencing temperatures of -18oC, it was great to come back to the perfect weather in Oman! I hope that you all had an opportunity to relax and spend time with those important to you.

Students have settled back into their work and routines this week. Teachers are busy assessing work and writing comments for the Semester 1 Report which will be sent home at the end of next week. Our DP students are preparing for their Mock Examinations. Today was the final deadline for permission slips and deposits for the Grade 7 and Grade 8 Oman Week Trips. Next week I will be able to confirm if we have sufficient numbers to run the trips.

As you will see from the section below, the next few weeks will be very busy with a range of events and activities. We thank you for your continued support and hope to see you at some of the events.

Kind regards,

Andy Cooper

Secondary Team Leader
