Dear KG2 Families,

We are excited to share our first broadcast of 2025! With the beautiful winter weather, our little learners have been enjoying their time at school. For some, it’s their first experience staying at school for an extended period, and we are thrilled to see their positive energy and enthusiasm during the day.

This week, we revisited letters and numbers previously introduced to our learners. A highlight was working on forming their names using playdough, which they truly enjoyed!

In mathematics, we introduced the number 13. The children explored this number by forming it with materials like tallies and counters, making it a hands-on and engaging experience.

For phonics, we focused on the new sound of the letter “G g”. The children had a wonderful time creating a craft project—a giraffe—to connect with the sound creatively.

As we wrap up our current Unit of Inquiry on the five senses, we’ve encouraged the children to think like scientists. They explored how they can combine all their senses to learn about the world around them—a great way to nurture curiosity and critical thinking!
