Dear KG2 Families,
We’re excited to share highlights from our learning journey this week as part of our current Unit of Inquiry, “How the World Works.”
This week, we explored the senses of sight and touch. Through engaging activities and experiments, the children deepened their understanding of how our senses help us explore and make sense of the world.
For the sense of sight, we enhanced the sentence “I see with my eyes” by engaging the children in a color-changing experiment. After listening to the story “Mouse Paint,” where curious mice discover how colors mix to create new ones, the children practiced mixing colors themselves, observing the changes through their sense of sight.
For the sense of touch, we reinforced the phrase “I touch with my hands” by exploring different textures such as hard, soft, rough, and smooth. The children also participated in a floating and sinking experiment, using their sense of touch to feel different objects while learning new vocabulary related to textures and concepts.
We’ve captured some wonderful moments from this week in photos. Feel free to click the link below for week13 to explore our collection!
Warm regards,
Ms.AlJabri & Ms.Maryam
