Hello everyone!

We seem to have covered a lot of learning again this week! We continue to learn our sounds and make words. We were asking questions to find out more about our friends and students presented their family photos to the class too. This prompted more questions and it was good to see the interest generated by this. Students who are sometimes quiet became more confident and able to explain who was in their family which was lovely to see.

We had a visit from Ms Maitha and discussed our feelings and how we can express ourselves and explain how and why we feel the way we do. Students sat well and talked together which made me proud of the class and the progress they have made socially but also in their language and thinking skills.

We have continued exploring how we used numbers from our lists made last week. We continued using, ordering, sorting, counting and adding. We did a lot of practical and white board work and many children helped their friends with understanding. Whiteboards are used daily as an immediate way to express ourselves. The students enjoy this and if mistakes are made, it is no problem to wipe clean and start again which encourages children to try without worrying about an error.

Happy weekend everyone!
