Dear Parents and students

We’ve had a busy four days, filled with learning!

Sound work continues daily with students learning more sounds, saying words and forming letters in different ways. They are pleasantly surprising me at how quickly their writing is improving. Many are showing they remember more from last year too. We do a variety of work and the students enjoyed using highlighters to identify letters this week. They also created houses and fed a carrot to a hungry rabbit!

Shape work was extended during Art to include recognising, naming, drawing and creating with shapes. Students are improving their motor skills by cutting out increasingly more challenging sizes of shapes and develop spatial awareness by making the shapes into a picture. The end results are colourful and fun.

Happy weekend to everyone!
