This week, 1C students practiced their attentive listening skills by listening to their peers and sharing their peers’ thoughts. In our Unit of Inquiry, the children had a great opportunity to interview each other, discovering their similarities and differences. We continued to explore what makes a good friend and how we can use those qualities every day.
In math, we are exploring numbers from 0-20. Students engaged in different centers that focused on various skills, such as number recognition, counting, and sequencing. Some centers involved hands-on activities, like using manipulatives to build and compare numbers, while others included games that reinforce number sense.
